The Daily Post and Liverpool ECHO are running video TV style reports on their websites, filmed and voiced by their own journo's. The results are just laughably poor and would shame even the most amateur broadcast students. This is supposed to be one of the biggest media groups in the country...TV journo's must be wetting themselves laughing.

Watched the bus one. What lets it down is the poor sound editing and appalling voice over - however the picture quality (properly white balanced pictures, manually focused and exposed by the look of it - auto focus and auto iris are the enemy of picture quality) framing etc. were better than a lot of BBC and ITV self-shoot/VJ stuff.

(Some shots were slightly wobbly, but they were shooting these wide to minimise this, and using a tripod sensibly)

You should take a look at Áine Gallagher from RTE News - their resident 12-year old newsreader. Sometimes I wonder if their late news summaries are meant to be the latest news or a kid telling us a bedtime story.
