I think that's the point. If it was a group of Oxbridge "rar"s having inspired and intelligent debate about the issues of the day, it would be rather dull and pointless. The commentary, the camerawork, the whole set-up is designed to poke fun at student life as well as highlight the political ignorance of many young voters.
