Yippee! Newsnight 6 days a week.
Although Im not sure it can be classed at "Night" at 5, can it?
Anyway the weather is no more and Peter's map is just state of the art, or is that just art.
Does anyone else think BBC 2 should have a more "prime-time" in-depth news bulletin, perhaps Newsday during the afternoon ?
Joel.

I think that it would be good to keep the Saturday version at 5.30 - but rebrand it as Newsweek - looking back on the events of the week, once the election is out of the way.

Apparently the Newsnight Bullshít Detector kicked in in the middle of a group discussion, booting Margaret Beckett out of the discussion temporarily and replacing her with colour bars and "BBC NEWSROOM NOTTINGHAM" - a more intelligent display than anything she had offered up to that point.

Do you not remember that they did this during the last election... except that it was for 1 hour insted of 30mins...
