I wonder how many of them will be able to meet his steely gaze?

Speaking of steely gaze, I used to frequent a club in Glasgow called Bennets, which was always full of steely gaze.

Ahem........moving on.

Me too. In 1989.

I wonder if our paths crossed.

CNN and Sky carrying today's Vaz committee live. BBC not, however. This story really does have massive global interest, for whichever reason.

Presumably because domestically it's carried on BBC Parliament, and internationally BBC World think it's a bit too domestic?

Sky News will have carried it because they are primarily a UK channel still - and don't have a sister parliamentary channel like the Beeb?

It was on the BBC News channel though, in fact they started showing it too early and put out 5 minutes of discussion about police reorganisation/cost cutting!

An update on the James/Rupert/Brooks committee story - apparently they can only force Rebekah Brooks to appear as she's the only UK citizen
