If ever a story was set to run and run and run........

To be fair to John Oliver, all of the Daily Show correspondents are - it's always the crazies they find to interview in their reports that provide the comedy gold. More than anything it winds me up that in the studio they're supposedly having a conversation with Jon Stewart but staring into camera 3*! "What you've got to understand, Jon..." ...is that Jon's sitting over there <---

Speaking of steely gaze, I used to frequent a club in Glasgow called Bennets, which was always full of steely gaze.

Ahem........moving on.

CNN and Sky carrying today's Vaz committee live. BBC not, however. This story really does have massive global interest, for whichever reason.

John Oliver is pretty good on TDS.

Incidently, he does work for News International as he's one half of The Bugle podcast, which is produced by The Times

Especially if Rebekah makes a huge mistake and blurts out something incriminating like she did last time

Yes, you do wonder if her lack of public speaking comes from an inability to edit herself.

Or, indeed, her journalists.
