I think the new format would be perfect for Moira to pop in as the second presenter, alongside either McDonald, Etchingham or Austin as lead anchor.

The old original NaT had a four or five presenter pool, with three main anchors (namely Burnet, Gall and Ford/Scott/Barnes/Armstrong's 1 and 2/Somerville) as the third presenter.

I would like to see that format again.

You're not going to see Moira working on TV news again, no matter how much you want it. Maybe she'll end up doing some daytime antiques shows like Angela Rippon does.

TV news doesn't want to have women over 50 on air now. Its just a sad fact of life.

Geraint was quite stuttery last night. He kept fluffing his lines - maybe the cold water was getting to him?

Sorry i don't much care about news at 10 returning. Never much liked it in the first place. What i want to know is... If on one of those rare occassions when i'm watching a good drama or movie on ITV will it have to stop for Trev and the bongs? Ads i can just about live with.

I may be wrong, but I'm sure that one of the reasons News at Ten came back was because they were finding it difficult to produce 90 minute programmes to fill the 2100-2230 slot and were increasingly having 60 minute dramas between 2100-2200 then some crap between 2200 and the News at 2230. I think their intention now is to produce 60 minute dramas to fill the hour before NAT. However, as I said, I'm not 100% sure of this. I don't know what their plans are for when they need to air a 90 minute programme - whether they'll delay the news (bad move, imo) or break the drama up.

I think with 90 minute programs such as I'm a Celebrity, they could afford to scrap Coronation Street that night because they could get similar ratings with that show. But having said that, rumour has it that I'm a Celebrity won't be returning in 2008 and I don't think there are other 90 minute shows ITV have that could be condensed into half an hour.

I'm A Celeb still does the business for ITV, and looking at the revamp week figures, they'll need all the big hitters they can get.

I would not be surprised if when I'm a Celebrity returns they will do the eviction part as a seperate show at 10.35, boosting News at Ten's audience in the process

What use to happen when News At Ten was on during the first and second series of Im A Celeb?

It was probably moved. Of course I imagine they plan to keep this one in a fixed slot.

I imagine any 90 minute dramas will be on Sunday nights or possibly Friday once Echo Beach/Moving Wallpaper etc finishes. I really doubt they will show any Mon-Thurs and split them for News at Ten.

Also Im a Celeb is long overdue the axe IMO.
