Blimey, what a poor show. Dull, boring and unimaginitive. WHY two presenters?! No need at all. Etchingham adds nothing to the program. The pace was slow, the reporting STILL intellectually shabby and WHY do they use those overpriced graphics for the intro which make a news program look like some sort of budget sci-fi made-for-tv fantasy?

Didn't like the end music. It sounded like it was fizzling out at the end, like they couldn't be bothered to put more effort in. Seriously, I hope they do some more work on the music so it makes more of a statement. They've managed an epic visual sequence at the beginning, so it would make sense to have slightly more dramatic audio as well.
I didn't like the ITN endcap either. Too much white, looks boring.

"Any good work" - good grief Brekkie can you not admit for once ITV did something good?
That was outstanding - let's see if they keep the momentum up!

And any good work is undone by the ITN endcap - not to mention the bloody Sheila's Wheels thing after each and every news bulletin!

Probably not yet. They won't want to give anyone the chance to channel hop to BBC One. I would think perhaps a few weeks or months in we will see an introduction of a commercial break.
The News at 10:30 never (or very rarely) had a commercial break, so why would they introduce one on News at 10, especially when they're competing with the BBC for viewers.
Original News At Ten always had an ad break and if NAT picks up big ratings it will make full financial sense for ITV to introduce an ad break as it can charge more. I think News at 10:30 was shorter in length. I may well be wrong and there may not be any plans for an ad break but ITV are in an ever demanding market for revenue from commercials. Lets just see how it goes.
