Liking the new look, very professional and goodbye teal set hehe. Was kind of worried it was a bit of an over indulgence in the old news at 10 thing but generally seems good.

Do they not have a break halfway through?

Probably not yet. They won't want to give anyone the chance to channel hop to BBC One. I would think perhaps a few weeks or months in we will see an introduction of a commercial break.

The News at 10:30 never (or very rarely) had a commercial break, so why would they introduce one on News at 10, especially when they're competing with the BBC for viewers.

Like that sting!

They can't have a break in the bulletin at technically it's 25 minutes long (as the regional news isn't part of the programme).

If they want a break within the bulletin they'd have to integrate the regional news again, even if it's just going back to Trevlie McDoningham for them to say goodbye.

News at Ten always used to have a break.

And the '92-'99 sting to end.

A good first night for the new News at Ten.

It was all so predictable. Like watching a bulletin from 15 years ago right down to the "And Finally" story.

And any good work is undone by the ITN endcap - not to mention the bloody Sheila's Wheels thing after each and every news bulletin!

That was brilliant.

Just like the old days, perfect music and graphics. The BBC may have the viewers, well they won't tonight, but they have a big gap to build to live up to that.

Enjoyed it! Trev did seem to be looking at the wrong camera at the end, or was that just me?

My verdict:

- Pres - excellent. Love the music. Titles slightly dodgy. Straps and other graphics v nice.

- Editorial content - too early to say. Would have liked a less tabloid lead for tonight, but generally a solid programme.
