The return of the famous bongs is a stimulating, if scary one, for the BBC. But it's scary in a good way...

So it'll be Bongs vs Boom-booms at 10?! Boom-booms all the way...

But I prefer to hear my Boom-booms at six o'clock. Or probably during the Basil Brush Show .
So would you like Basil Brush doing the six??? Laughing

Incidentally, I had a nightmare the other night when News at Ten was presented by Wooly and Worth sheep from the Woolworths adverts.

When do we think Mark might first crop up on the programme then - will Trevor do the full four-day week this week?

Its been virtually confirmed that Mark isn't doing News at Ten. Trevor is doing Mon-Thurs and Mark is doing Fridays which is at 11. I doubt that will change for a couple of months before they start phasing Trevor out.

No it hasn't.

One report suggested that over time the duties will be divided 50/50 between Mark and Trevor.

One article also said Trevor will take an extended summer break (as he used to before retirement) which will help achieve that 50/50 average.

Not sure if anyone else watched the trailer for NaT at the end of tonight's Evening News. The sting that played at the end was different to the one that has been doing the rounds on other promos; though it was rather brief, it sounded similar to the 1999-2004 themes.

It was just the other sting cut down slightly. The composers will have recorded various different stings, stabs and beds for use on the programme. I'm not surprised it sounded like the 1999 music, as that was based on NAT's music in the first place.
