News at Ten - Weeknights on ITV1

I thought they'd have stand in presenters for Friday, a bit like how some other bulletins do.

I think tomorrows could easily be the worst rated NaT bulletin ever though.

"Join us both tomorrow at ten - yes, at ten , but for now, good night..."

I doubt that reading the 10pm news comes at the end of a particularly long day for Julie. I was more surprised to see Mark there tonight.

It was inevitable they'd both be there for the first, but once the routine is established I imagine Mark at least won't be turning up on Fridays too often.

Doesn't Julie suffer from insomnia anyway? So I doubt its too big a deal for her to be honest.

On Alan Titchmarsh, Mark said it was the end to his social life.... and that he is going to be spending more time with Julie than his wife, but that at least she always knows where he is at 10pm! He also said that his mum used to watch the BBC 10 O Clock News during the News at When? era because she never knew what time ITV would be on. He also talked about the whole 'autocuties' thing and about Terry Lloyd's death and his move from a foreign correspondent to presenter.

I see from the Radio Times that Alastair Stewart is presenting News at Ten Wednesday to Friday next week.

Excellent - who is presenting with him?

I guess they need another male stand in presenter with James as they have both Mary and Katie as stand in's.
