Where is Sir Trev? Has he left NAT?

It's so much better with a single presenter and they don't come much better than Mark Austin.

Why is there one presenter tonight? Where is Mary?

It's strange that Mark has left the Olympics half way through

They are obviously short staffed today what with Alistair making a rare appearance on the Evening News as well

Was I seeing things but was there a promo for News At Ten before Emmerdale tonight?

He is on vacation. He is due back soon. He is not scheduled to leave until November, I think

With everyone liking NAT with Julie on her own, what did people think with Mark's solo presenting in a News At Ten environment?

And when the time comes for Sir Trevor to leave, should they continue the 2 person presenting team, or should they use Mark and Julie on different days, in the same way that BBC One do it?

Sir Trev is back next week, he will be in the states for the Democratic National Convention.

I know this has been said a million times, but I would like NaT to go five nights a week. Then have Julie on her own Monday to Wednesday, and Mark on Thursday and Friday.
Mark has been great this week. I like his style more when he is on his own.

For me, it is a shame John Suchet is no longer at ITV News. He would have made quite a good substitute for Trevor McDonald on News At Ten. It is a shame ITV bosses didn't ask John to come back. The duo of Etchingham/Suchet would be different.
Mind you, Trevor - I don't mind him anchoring NaT either.

Strange, I thought James Mates and Mary Nightingale would be doing NaT tonight, but apparently they'll be presenting the EN. Trevor McDonald will be reporting from the Democratic Convention in the US on NaT. Maybe they'll have just Mary in the studio then?

I'm pretty sure they said at the end of the LN that Bill Neely will be on the Evening News with Mary.

Apparently James Mates is doing NaT tonight - last night was was Mary.
