Yes, I did. Put simply, instead of a sting out of the final headlines, we cut to Trevor with an inset of Leona Lewis, with a strap at the bottom reading "AND FINALLY..."
It seemed more suited to it, in my opinion.

Interestingly, Mark could only be seen using an Internet stream of some form, causing several delays and MPEG artefacts. Presumably there are regulations or technical difficulties making a satellite downlink impossible.

Julie is on her own tonight. Mark was abroad at the start but only for about 5-10 minutes. Julie has done the rest of the show herself and its working far better.

News crews have supposedly been banned, so I would think there is just a webcam of some sort and maybe one or two other people (director etc). I doubt there will be a full crew out there.

I agree - we've said it everytime Trevor's been off but Julie is always much better without him, whether it's with another host or on her own. The sooner he goes the better IMO.

The opening sequences for ITV News have been pre-recorded for years and years. It's just the ITN way of doing things. The BBC's, however, are usually always live.

Were my eyes deceiving me last night or is the opening sweeping shot now pre-recorded? I'm sure Trevor was looking down on the wide shot but then already looking at the camera come the close up.

It was pretty obvious on Monday night, the biggest giveaway was you saw Trevor talking and moving slightly while the NaT music was still playing and then suddenly he's there in presenting mode.

I would hope the news of the death of News at Ten's founder gets some mention tonight.
