I feel I may have been harsh on Mary in the ITV News thread. Slating her for how many holidays she has, when infact she has just swapped shifts. For the past few weeks it has been Nina co-presenting the Evening News, which I thought was odd. However Mary seems to have taken the time off, and swapped shifts instead to present both the Evening News and News at Ten, this week (and next week?)

It's none of your business how many holidays she has.

oh no, I think its clearly his business and the business a several forumers to know every detail about a presenters holiday arrangement and number of children. its as essential as knowing exactly who presented news 24 at 3pm yesterday and you can't get more essential than that,

Isn't all this "axing" talk a bit premature? Give it a chance, surely.

Why don't you not quote my post and ignore it if you don't like what I have said. You are taking this thread off topic and starting off certain members, when it isn't needed.

Given your history, Andrew, its difficult to ignore your posts as they clutter the majority of the forum, and when they're not, change their name so you can't keep track of them. And I notice you pick me out when I was not the first to question your demand to know the holiday arrangements of presenters.

There's a Tyne Tees website (other than the Tyne Tees bit of ITV Local)? Shocked I thought surely such independence has been totally crushed by the ITVplc era by now?

Hang on, did Londoner actually mean the independent website being replaced by an ITV Local one?

(It's past my bedtime, and I'm also a bit slow) Embarassed

Londoner's choice of wording genuinely made me think it sounded like he meant the independent website being revamped, rather than being replaced with an ITV Local one.

Also, I had assumed that all ITVplc regions already have an ITV Local website in place by now. So, I'd assumed that Londoner meant that there was still an independent website as well as an ITV Local one (e.g. due to rebels at Gateshead resisting ITVplc calls to close it down, or whatever), and that this was getting revamped.

*double whoosh*

perhaps you might have a nice evening using the search feature, the username "primetime" and trawling back to his earliest posts. that might explain things.

I'd explain it myself, but I'm just not that nice.
