The averages would also go up if it was on for a little longer as some people would switch across from BBC1. Being the flagship news program for ITV, it should be the longest bulletin and at the minute it isn't. The full hour with a 10 minute regional bulletin incorporated around 10.30pm could work.
Really there isn't enough content in a day's news to fill an hour every day. Even news channels repeat news throughout an hour slot, so I think a bulletin would struggle to fill the time.

On slow news days they could give the bulletin an 'exclusive' feel and include some of the biggest regional stories that never quite made it onto other bulletins? Channel 4 don't seem to have a problem producing an hour long bulletin each day and C4 News also comes from ITN.
I know it won't be the studio as to her its no different but just a green box. But she does seem more relaxed and doesn't feel the need to sit at such an awkward angle. Maybe it is because she isn't with Trevor.
I wonder if the News at Ten at Eleven will return when Mark comes back off his 'holiday'?

I doubt it - there's no reason to ditch the branding because one of the hosts is away. Agree with the sentiment though Julie is better when she isn't with a stifled present such as Sir Trev.
They've said Mark is in Afghanistan for a special week of reports next week - is that for the Evening News or News at Ten or both?
I hope though it's just the Evening News that is based out there, with News at Ten's contribution perhaps being a further special report each evening, rather than being a repeat of what was seen in the earlier bulletin.
Superb, thought provoking coverage on News at Ten tonight.
So sad about that guy, it was really awful seeing footage of him making jokes on that helmet camera and stuff and then his friend trying so hard not to break down. It was heartbreaking. Fantastic journalism, detailed and superb.
Good format too - 15 minutes Frontline Live / 15 minutes rest of day's news.
