I think the system of who presents what would be greatly flawed if that is how things went.
Yeah but I think she is a great presenter so its nice to see her on something other than the lunchtime news.

Great to see Katie presenting News at 10 tonight. I think she has been there the longest out of the female presenters so should be the stand in.

She did do well. I do enjoy Julie presenting, but there was something about the end of tonight's bulletin, Katie & Trevor seemed to do a lot of talking and were both enjoying doing so. I just think that sometimes it looks a bit false with Julie and Trevor.

Unsurprisingly Katie did an excellent job.
She's actually far too good to be used as a stand-in but it has always been the case that the presenters cover for eachother.

Yeah, what a load of crap. Hardly news. When I was 15 over 20 years ago everyone used to drink big bottles of white cider, and it was cheap then. Apparently kids are starting to drink at 15, 16 now. Yeah, and? What's new?
I noticed this useful picture on BBC News today

I think it says a lot for this binge drinking nonsense.

haven't watched the show in a few days but it's looking very tabloidly tonight - lead on missing young girl, 'special report' on teen binge drinking (very original)..

Erm, what's new is loads of innocent people are getting killed and/or beaten up in their drunken rages!

Well actually it doesn't say anything about binge drinking as it only give weekly consumption. People may be drinking the same amount over a shorter time, but the graph wouldn't show that.
I think the story was about the fact that the mean price of the cider (pence per litre) has been dropping, even though inflation means that it should have risen.
