First time I've properly watched the bulletin tonight and was really impressed. Trevor in Washington and the programme on the whole had no gimmicks and the time spent between Washington and London seemed just right.
Also a good report at the end of the bulletin by Trevor.
All seems very polished, something BBC bulletins lack these days.

I was really impressed with News at Ten tonight, too. I watched the BBC Six O'Clock News tonight so decided to get ITN's take on the day. Their US coverage was, surprisingly, far more comprehensive than the BBC's. Newsnight seems to provide the best BBC coverage.
I'm really enjoying the new NAT. Somehow, it feels as though a lot more effort is put into it by ITN than the BBC does for the Ten O'Clock News. The BBC's programme feels like any old BBC News bulletin whereas NAT feels a bit different/special. This is aided by the unique presentation compared to the rest of ITV News. I thought I'd give it a week to test what it was like and three weeks later I'm still watching. They must be doing something right.

A good bulletin last night, but I still think Mark Ausitn is a far better presenter than Trevor, especially on location.
I know Trevor did his report at the end, but him anchoring on location did feel a bit pointless as he's just doing what he does in the studio. With Mark usually somehow he seems to get over to viewers the point of why he is on location when he hosts outside the studio.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but I was surprised that the titles cost £250,000!! This was mentioned on the Guardian Media Report podcast a few weeks ago. Also some people in the industry are running a book on when they think Sir Trevor will leave.
I always thought tht they should have given it to Alistair Stewart.

Did you think this was a lot or not enough?
