I'm surprised no-one has picked up on the fact that News at Ten started at 22.01 tonight. That's the first time it has been late (excluding Fridays, of course) since it came back.
I was at a gig, but I do believe I felt the ground shake at such earth-shattering news.

I'm pretty sure it began at 22:00:55, but it doesn't make a lot of difference - it is really poor that it wasn't at ten on the dot.
Why does it make any difference whatsoever? Most things I have that say the time vary by a minute or 2 either way, it's not like people are waiting impatiently at 10 on the dot.
nok32uk and themagicmonkey, there's really no need to be so snotty. Considering all the talk of 'News at When?' I made an observation that it didn't start at 2200 on the dot. I didn't have an axe to grind, merely just pointing it out. Is it any wonder why people are put off posting on here when you get that sort of reception?
And for the record, weekday BBC News programmes start on the hour, on the dot, every day. It is very infrequent that a BBC News bulletin starts late.

Yes but is it any wonder people are put off posting here when you get some (i.e. you and Pad) being so petty about every pointless detail. Works both ways.

What are you talking about?
Er, what do you mean "what are you talking about?" We're talking about News at Ten starting on time. Or not.
The fact remains that NAT last night started after 2200 on the dot. As I'm sure any intelligent member would realise, I wouldn't normally post such a trivial detail. On this occasion, however, in light of earlier discussions about NAT having to start at 2200 on the dot to retain credibility, I thought it might be interesting to some members that after two weeks it has slipped a little. Obviously I was wrong. I didn't realise it is now wrong to post observations about TV presentation. So, can anyone remind me again what we're here for?

A rhetorical question. What I mean is, who cares, in what way is it poor?

I noticed that last night but forgot to post about it. I dont think its such a big deal as long as it starts no later than about 22.02.
