He's mentioned on TV Ark as the voice over in 1991 for the 8pm Gulf News Report. You'd assume he was doing the other voiceovers at the time, though I've no idea if he continued through to 2004.

Richard Bath only announced for the 8pm Gulf News, he used to read some news summaries at the time.

I can't for the life of me remember the mans name but his name did appear at the end of the National Television Awards once when he provided the voiceover for that.

I was told a few years ago that it was someone called Andrew Burt. Don't know if that's right or not.

I think the earliest of his voiceovers was in 1991 for the relaunched Early Evening News. He then provided the V/Os for NAT in 1992 and for the rest of the bulletins in 1995. I think his voice was last used in 2004.

Andrew sounds about right. I always loved the 1992 election when his announcement went along the lines of "From Independent Television News, Election '92... etc" but then simple things like that please me. Razz

I like the way they sign off with News At Ten, because it sounds more like ITN!

Julie just used the touchscreen then; it actually wasn't that bad. It looked very professional and well-executed. And she was standing, which made it a bit better than when it was used on C4 News.
