Who used to do the intros for News at Ten, because i seem to remember it being the same voice for years. It may have been the same recordings, but i believe he was still doing them way into the ITV News red and blue era.

Oh dear, I think Amy Winehouse may be the top story on NaT tonight.

It'll be interesting to see how (if?) they handle the Heath Ledger death. The news just broke of his death 10 minutes ago.

Respects to him, of course.

It was 9.45 I think I saw Amy Winehouse on the coming up trailor. So it may have changed.. we will have to wait and see.

Amy story 3 or 4... still should be last of all I think... I'd personally not even include it - it's not really news.

I thought they promoted the top story in the coming up trailor at 9:45.

Is Penny Marshall the dedicated correspondent for News at Ten? She seems to be a regular correspondent each night (or when I've watched) for NaT. I remember reading in an article that their would be a dedicated correspondent.

They briefly mentioned the Heath Ledger story there. An orange aston appeared saying 'BREAKING NEWS'.

Breaking News strap for Heath Ledger's death (which by the way has shocked me to the core... never saw that one coming... so sad!)

Yep, not very often showbiz deaths shock me - but that one did.

Anyway - day 6 and News at Ten is relying on Amy Winehouse and Madeline McGann already! I thought they'd pledged only to cover proper news!

Surprised Trevor didn't say "And Finally" tonight - or did he? I'm sure he didn't though.. Laughing

Wasn't sure of the bright orange breaking news strap and they were a bit slow with it ... Sky News' website had it as early as 10. But I suppose they couldn't interrupt a major financial story for that.

I've got no problem with the odd showbiz story - makes it more accessible than the BBC News. But the fawning over Beckham was a bit sickening.

Working a bit better now though, although there's never going to be any chemistry.

Uh-oh, Sheila's bloody Wheels (lucky UTV viewers - incidentally even UTV couldn't mess up that opt-out, they must be allowing a good five seconds to opt-out)

Today has been a slow news day so I suppose they do have to rely on it. They dedicated a large portion towards shares.

Off topic but Jo Blythe is getting sexier by the day Very Happy
