I'll admit it now. I couldn't stand Tom Bradby when he first took over but over the last few weeks he seems to have settled into it quite well. Even the quips he comes out amuse me somewhat now.
On the whole, a good revamp from ITV News and the nod to the past as well can't really go wrong.

Erm, yes... that has been a regular feature on News at Ten since October...
The music was the same as the start and no alternative endcap is necessary.
Guessing tomorrows stories now before the close...

Alternate close music too with the same end board to finish

Opening sequence and music brilliant. Saw set and thought oh gosh. Content and delivery were fantastic even though it started a minute late it finished at 2233. The tweaks to the set as the programme went on we're very good.
Overall. Well done itv. It was very good. Just one thing. Change the graphics on reports to News At Ten to show the difference to ordinary ITV News.

How exactly do you both thing news works? People turn up at 9am to check what's happened, rush out to make a report and then go home? There are loads of diary stories that will have been shot well in advance - what's the harm in telling people what is happening tomorrow?
It's better than just a glimpse at some front pages - leave that to the BBC and Sky who have the time on their news channels to properly analyse them.
