NEWS at TEN - January 2016 Relaunch

The new music sounds like ITV News mixed with the old North East Tonight with Mike Neville theme.

Would possibly have preferred the new titles more in the style of the other ITV News titles, but on the other hand it's good that they haven't gone away from the squares theme.

The same old studio reappears

Once again not starting at 10pm as per

Not impressed so far.

So it's reverted back to 'News at When' tonight. I thought they would have got it going from 10pm on the dot for tonight at least.

Its starting on time for once? No, and not because of adverts but for 2m of promos

First look at the set just now. Little appears to have changed.

Very poor that the ITV announcer couldn't even manage to say 'News at Ten'. Just said ITV News.

'at Ten' has been added to the ITV News logo at the start.

Minor changes to the set as well.

I'm sure she said "ITV News at Ten".

Suppose the titles were alright, the ending of them don't match the bongs. Slight change to the bong on the headlines at the start also.

The same astons as other programmes.

No change to astons it seems. So only really the titles have changed.

The title sequence and the music look and sound respectively far better than the video tweeted earlier.



The latter theme is under-appreciated. One of my favourite theme tunes ever.
