Also after the turmoil within News at Ten late last year it is quite satisfying that on the biggest political news day in quite some time that Julie Etchingham is at the helm and Tom Bradby is nowhere to be seen. Still not convinced by Peston though - even he seems to be bored by his own reports.
Peston appeared enthusiastic through the day but he does seem to burn out by the time it comes to filing for NaT.
Peston and Aleggra Stratton seem to be used an awful lot and they seem to work together, would it be possible if Robert Peston was to fill in on News at Ten one day.

With a new Female Prime Minister, maybe now is the time for Julie Etchingham to become permanent presenter of ITV News At Ten...or not.
* Not that I think Bradby is bad these days, he's improved much in my opinion. I just don't feel he's the best ITV News have...
Do agree Tom Bradby has improved significantly over the last nine months or so and more importantly News at Ten now has it's own editorially identity and is a much better programme for it. The trouble is though I doubt the ratings have budged - and suspect the new programme is costing far more than the previous incarnation.

Surely, the ratings can't be any worse than when Mark and Julie presented it.

Due to technological advances, production of News at Ten probably doesn't cost as much as it used to.
Former ITN Employee, now NBC Bill Neely's interview was on NAT tonight
I thought Bill Neely was going to be a rising star at ITV. He had that authority about him that a programme like News At Ten had in the past.
He does a great job for NBC as their "Chief Global Correspondent" but I'm not so sure how it's different from Richard Engel's "Chief Foreign Correspondent". I believe he started shortly after Deborah Turness became the head of the news division. He's not one of the correspondents that's on daily but they send him when there's a big report or important issue.

Peston has the most appalling vocal delivery-- lucky to have a job in any medium other than the papers.
If he is such a talent, use him as a senior political producer. I'm astonished he has got this far.
