Good to see that when the Champions League highlights return that News at Ten is keeping it's 10pm slot, although I suspect even if News at Ten aired at 10pm exactly for the next five years thanks to the last 15 it would still be dubbed "News at When".


I believe when the CL returns next week the only English team who are playing is Chelsea and that's on the Tuesday night, hence the decision to leave the highlights at 10.40pm. It might be different the week after though.

Julie Etchingham has won the RTS Network News Presenter of The Year award tonight the the RTS Journalism awards.

Hope she takes that into the office tomorrow and shows it to the idiot who decided to demote her to hosting one show a week.

I don't think it's quite correct to assume she was 'demoted' - remember we started seeing a lot more of Charlene White and Ranvir Singh presenting alongside Mark on the Ten for several months before the revamp was even mooted in the press. It's just as likely it was her choice to do fewer Tens.

The Agenda is back on Mondays with Tom remaining as host meaning for the time being Julie will be hosting News at Ten on Mondays. Also it gets pushed back 20 minutes on Wednesday and Digiguide is branding it as just "ITV News", so will be interesting to see if it retains the News at Ten branding. I suspect it will.
