Maybe it's me but it slightly reminded me of Nightly New's open where they show the different major world cities and then zoom out to show the country and contingent in all the different boxes on screen before finally going to the USA.

Don't ITN realise that no matter how much tweaking and tarting of a CGI set they do, it's the content that people want - plus a proper newscaster like Alastair Stewart.

Did you miss the last four months? News at Ten's change of content has been key to Bradby taking over since October. And what's a "proper newscaster"? Huw Edwards hasn't the same style as Alastair but is certainly a brilliant presenter.

Also, I wonder if the titles can be dynamic where the time on Big Ben changes for delays of programming.

Which is like going home from them - considering Jump was originally formed by former-ITN designers.

I think someone has been very clever with this overhaul. ITV has done very little yet there is alot of talk here and alot of talk in the papers. Its spend very little and its seems to have driven up viewers. Sometimes it better to never had a big bang but and not to over egg the programmes.

Well, I'm totally underwhelmed. Whoopie, new titles and remixed tune. Studio looks as boring as ever. Presenter as dull as ditch water. Nope, I'll stay with the Beeb.

Umm... you do realise the irony in what you're saying, don't you?

I'm pretty sure the wages bill would be a bit bigger now.

Glad they've stuck to the overall look of the brand, it's the best they've had since 1999.

1999? The best look ITV News has ever had prior to the current look???

2004 was way better than 1999, even the awful 2010 look only just beat 1999.

I suspect he means 1995-1999 rather than 1999-2004. I agree 2004 was very good and I'm actually a fan of how the 2009 look harked back to the gold and greys of ITN in the 80s. Without doubt though the current look is the best - probably because it's the simplest.
