The news reports featured at the mo on the BBC One Super Volcano prog are weird. They've had Joanna Goslin from the old N24 garage door era set with the graphics from that time, and Anna Jones in the current set with current graphics.

Good effects though - should win a few awards.

Now Gwenan - current set & graphics.

And a female president - no wonder the world's coming to an end!

They could have used the old set and graphics to illustrate that its not real. When they aired the fictional documentary about a dirty bomb in London, believe it or not some people thought it was real and called strangely enough, the BBC. I think 999 would be able to help them more effectively in that sort of crisis. Anyway my point is they would be trying to create a real news report with out it appearing too real if you get what i mean. Hence the reason why the shot floats around a lot or we view through a tv in a room that the camera is looking at. Stops people fretting if they have just tuned in! It was strange to use two different era's of a channel in the same program though. Perhaps the first news reports were recorded in advance of the later reports and news 24 had relaunched in between?
