I have started this Thread, though not wholy appropriate, the best example would be Shaun Of The Dead (2004) where you consistently saw many clips of Sky News, Five News etc. Though for anyone who has seen Superman Returns (like I did last night), I couldn't help but notice that if you look carefully at the screens of the Daily Planet office there were many clips of London Tonight on screen for some reason, same goes for ITV London Weather, and what appeared to be RTÉ or TV3 Weather also appeared a few times too.

I was rather surprised to see this, considering the film is very American, and used tons of fake News reports. What does anyone else think? Any other films too..? (other than Independence Day (UK edit))

just films? if not then Spooks used Sky News numerous times in it and reportedly got a bit of stick from the bbc about it too, for not using news 24. JT was in it i think.

Krishnan Guru-Murphy's best appearence though had to be when he interviewed the prawn that quotes for the last proper popworld, and at the end said
"now we hand you back to that awful feeder thing"

Slightly different angle here, but a few years back when I was newsreading for a local radio station, FilmFour casually "lifted" a segment of one of my news bulletins and used it in the film With Or Without You. I only noticed it was me reading when watching the film one day on DVD! Had mixed feelings at the time, was pleased to have been in the film, but was very miffed that they hadn't even asked me or the station. Evil or Very Mad Crying or Very sad

I'm sure we had the same discussion a few months ago...

Anyway, Christa Ackroyd from Look North appeared in Calendar Girls (clothed).

Peter Sissons also appeared in Spiceworld.
