I'm surprised Paris and network aren't sharing the same studio to be honest. Would save on crewing two different studios in the same building.

The regional station for Paris-Île de France is based in a different building a short distance away in Vanves. I imagine the unions would have something to say about a relocation!

How could I forget the unions. Explains why some of the simulcasting seen in the UK won't be seen in France for a long time despite Macron being president.

Yep. It’s still pretty common for the national and regional news to be disrupted by strikes. Last year at France 3 Limousin there was a strike because management planned for most of the legislative election night coverage to come from the regional HQ in Bordeaux rather than locally in Limoges. News and other shows were reduced or cancelled for a couple of weeks.
Ultimately management agreed to allow Limoges to produce more local coverage to end the strike.
