As I understand it, all branding (apart from World News America and Business Edition) are being binned in favour of the London 2012 branding.
I'm assuming you mean this style (which popped up during a lengthy pause just before 9am on the BBC News Channel)

Sue Thearle taking over shortly (on World, I think, from Amelia).
Yay.
Loving the look, although would prefer gentlemen to be wearing ties. That's all.

Think there are four different areas:
The first one is the national news one as can be seen above - with a desk.
Second one is for the news channel - with red swivel chairs and a small coffee table.
Third one is the BBC World News/BBC London studio with the sofa. World are kicked out of this studio for BBC London bulletins.
Fourth and final one is the other sofa studio, with the view that isn't quite as good - seems to be used as the backup used when BBC London are on air.
CONFUSED! how many News studios are there at the Olympics site in total...

Other broadcasters have rented space in Lund Point - RTE are one, I believe - though the facilities in the other stuios are a little basic:

But it really is all about that view.
Is that an RTÉ News studio, an RTÉ Sport one or both?

The BBC World Studio currently being used by Mishal Husain is in the Ironworks on Dace Road to the West of the Olympic Park where BBC News Domestic studio and the studio where Sport is being presented from is on the East of the Olympic Park...
Big giveaway is the location of the Orbit. Being in front of the Olympic Stadium in the Domestic view, and behind it for World News.

Only if they switch the lights off on the buildings behind. Reflections are usually only an issue if the backdrop is actually dark. If it's lit to a similar level as the interior, you're fine.
The One Show have coped with a night time backdrop for 5 years now with reasonably controlled reflections - but that's because the backdrop is lit.
Looking at the wide shot of the News Channel studio, they appear to have some 'rainbow' windows, which suggest that some variable brightness window treatment (probably polarisers on the windows and the cameras?) is in use to allow the windows to be stopped down during the day but opened up at night.

I can see that the early morning 5am slot is going to have some reflection issues with the darkness outside!
However, liking the format so far. Big Komla on a sofa is a sight to behold.

not massively impressed- that 'studio' looks rather functional. Sound a bit echoey and Sophie seemed to be squinting.
