That looks more impressive than on air!
Like the glowing globe - should use that in the main titles.
Just got a report from Midlands Today.

Not sure what they could ever include from Look North Hull in this programme, perhaps Peter Levy's in depth chat with Duncan Norvell will feature later on.

Are you sure that isnt one of your mocks?
It looks just as good!!
Visually Nicer than the usual set.

that was quite good as a show, ending a bit muted in fluency but a very good quality programme.

I thought the programme was all right all though I was still disappointed with all the onscreen clutter - ticker, tower, astons etc. I did like the headline bed all though it really slowed the pace down from the countdown IMO. It also reminded me of a slower, sombre version of the Breakfast headline bed. Did anyone else notice?

I thought it sounded like the headline bed from the old sound set of News24 introduced early 2003.
Only slower paced.
I think one improvement could be to make the 'tonight' word transparent, and the globe some very subtle world land mass on it.
Yes the usual clutter was there, it would of looked not too bad if they left out the ticker.Dog and astons did fail for a time.

Opening titles MP4 added, same link...
I don't know what to make of the titles. I think they lack a certain something that makes a design look neat and finished. It's great how so many different versions of the News 24 titles can be made for different programmes, the BBC News 'umbrella' has proven itself to be quite versatile. It's a shame that some graphics look as if they've been done in Flash, and slightly disappointing to me that the graphics and studio don't work seamlessly together with their colours. Same can be said for News 24 Sunday, really.
This does seem like something I'd expect myself to come out with, which I find slightly disappointing because I always expect to see something far better on TV than anything I can do! Although I had my own ideas in my mind as to how this could've looked - and they were quite different to this, so maybe this isn't one of my mocks!
