Bigted (or the Aston that the Bigted PC controls - Bigted itself doesn't generate any graphics) isn't suitable for generation of a clock and animating tower. It is only really suitable for name captions and live bugs (it can do basic animation to get captions on and off and have animating backgrounds on straps)

I think this proves that News 24 still need Big Ted, they at least should have the BBC News 24 and clock running as a backup using Big Ted, on World we get a static one straight away!

I've heard it a few times, normally after around fifty seconds. Just after the relaunch I'm sure that the headline bed in fact restarted completely after this vamp.

Vamp Sample Although I know it's there, I've never heard it go on long enough to air before.

I'm only hearing things every now and then; there's moments of complete silence and crackle/pop sounds...

The only difference between the N24 gallery and, eg the Sky News gallery is that the director is also the vision mixer. The astons are driven by ENPS, but then so are most things on N24, Sky, ITV etc.

that's what happens when you get robots running the service, but at least it is cheaper to run then a proper gallery.

Thanks Dog, looks like News 24 back to its professional self again.
