Don't know if forumers have this already, but i thought it was worth posting for those people who do not yet have it.

Very nice thought, but I'm not sure how long this thread will stay open. I'll start:

Thanks for posting that - it did in fact do the rounds on the forum a week or so after the new countdown was first broadcast.

The thought was there though

Just an addendum: 60-second countdown ripped to MP3 format...

Although the 60 Second countdown is available from David Lowe's on Website.

On a related note the countdown on his site isn't the one used on the News 24 countdown.

Speaking of countdowns, I happened to see a 55 second one the othere night.

I can see this becoming one of those regular topics posted once a month while requests for it continue regardless.

Regardless of the argued wrong placing ot the thread, thanks for the download - very much appreciated, I've been looking for it all over the place. The countdown is the best build-up to a news programme I've ever seen - confident, bullish, and it just screams "We're the BBC, look at what we stand for, we're great". It's just a shame the momentum is lost in the gap between that and the headlines, and Peter Sissons eventually slowing things down to a halt.

Fantastic countdown, with brilliant music, but the headline music is not right really.

During the BBC strike the News24 Headline bed was aired as a breakfiller several times. Does anyone have that in mp3?

It's kicking about somewhere, I've heard it...try the Requests forum, I think its in there, look back through the pages until you find the dates around the day of the strike and I think it's in there
