Remember currently Gmb covers Ireland in as much as it broadcasts there as well

The press release really emphasising 'the home of Met Office weather', presumably with the BBC moving away.

Love the new weather graphics! Finally in crystal clear HD, they've made the brought back the 'ITV Weather' branding and the stings are less generic by adding the regional names onto it.

Jon Mitchell also stressing the Met Office link on Calendar tonight and also went through all the different opening screens they will have, their version of the BBC Weather spheres.

Oh and 646 weather forecasts per week?

How have they got to that, it's like a Countdown numbers game, or a question from one of those overnight quiz channels.

Bet they're gutted there is little rain forecast as at the moment they're just a map in various shades of green and don't really explain anything when you just glance at them.

On the national weather...

Ireland places labelled

Hull labelled, I would have preferred Leeds

On the outlook (did ITV used to do an outlook before?), main four places as you'd expect like on the BBC and then Exeter??. Is that a nod to the fact that the Met Office are based there?

The fact they do an outlook with 5 places is a good improvement on the local weather, it used to be just one symbol per day for the whole region.
