Another point - the only name that's missing here is Julia Somerville. I recall reading somewhere that the original plan was to have Julia as a features reporter or something. But by early 1993, she was back behind the news desk. I guess they must have recorded that VO later on a different DAT, as it wasn't to be found on this one.

I do remember Julia Somerville, appearing a good number of times doing the NaT, but of course you were more likley to find her doing mid morning bulletins and lunchtimes, along side Nicolas. John Suchet did Evening news. While Carol did Thurs/Friday lunchtime and weekend. I dont remember Nicolas doing the NaT.

That's brilliant. 'From the jolly nice headquarters of ITN' wouldn't have been quite as authoritative.

My favourite was the cheesy game show piss-take one.

Around the time of the relaunched News at Ten, Julia Somerville was absent for several months as she was seriously ill. When she returned she did a thing on News at Ten called Focus On Britain which was seemingly a way of easing her back in gradually. But Focus On Britain was considered a bit of a waste of time, and then she was well enough to start presenting again.

I was just lucky enough to just remember Alastair Stewart in 1992. He is still the same person that he is today. Authoritative and respectful.

That in itself is enough to gain me as a viewer and long may it continue.
bkman1990, Towielad and Ben Shatliff gave kudos

And yet the comedy style VO is still better than the dull ones currently used on ITV News.

It sounds like Peston reading off an autocue.

Who is the guy that done the VO for ITN in these?

Did he do theatre of news ones when the itv branding changed to yellow?

Andrew Burt was the 'voice of God' through the 1990s until the voiceovers were ditched in 2004. I believe James Faulkner did the (terrible!) 2009 ones.

News at ten really did have everyone doing it, From Reginald Bosanquet, Fiona Armstong, Sue Carpenter and right thought to Natasha Kaplinsky

Never know that, I just looked it up. Make you wonder what might have happened.
