MSNBC is moving out of its Secaucus base, and into 30 Rockefeller Plaza - where it's sharing a brand new newsroom with the rest of NBC News.

Video and pictures of the new studios and newsroom courtesy of Inside Cable.

Very modern. The Nightly News studio looks great (and reminds me of Channel 4 News...). Not so sure about the MSNBC bit, but I expect it'll look more impressive on screen.

Great! A first for me. Never seen a overseas channel relaunch before.

I wonder what that vase will add to the overall on screen look of the new Nightly News studio?

I do like the new studio - It's based in the Rockafeller Ctr (I thought it may have been in the floor above the Today studio across the plaza) and the main presenters desk for MSNBC can be moved across the studio on a 50ft long rail.
I've seen on another site some more screenshots of the MSNBC studio, and unlike the current one, there are no big MSNBC signs up. I wonder if come 6am on 22nd October the channel will be renamed The NBC News Channel, as was being reported last year?

Although I love the MSNBC studio in New Jersey, this new one is fantastic. Looks very modern. I hope theres some caps/videos on YouTube.
Nightly News set looks great aswell. I like the way you can see both sets eg, standing in the Nightly News set, you can see the MSNBC set.

By the way, in the MSNBC set, is there a balcony? On the pictures you can see a silver bar above the plasma's, I read on another site theres a 'higher' presentation point for when the presenters stand up.

I really really like it. It's very European for NBC, it's not all flashy like most American news. The graphics look very nice:

They remind me of Sky 2004.

At last a studio that does the job without the excess tack.

Is that a plant pot on the table? Shocked

Why do they always go and ruin it? Laughing

I thought that, plant's always spoil it. The MSNBC set has blue flowers, along with the blue set. They have got the colour-coding right down to the smallest things!

I know I've seen it simulcast on CNBC Europe before, although that might have just been for Breaking News. Of course, NBC Nightly News is on CNBC Europe every weeknight.
