Some caps of the new look, perhaps someone with capture facilities can upload some better images?

they made a passing reference to the slight change in the set at the end of the 6 O'Clock programme tonight. Stephen said that they were back refreshed for 2006 and Shereen said she was happy to have a desk again so that she can shuffle her papers at the end.

I did think it was a bit strange that they have used a lot of moving squares in their new titles when ITV News are relaunching theirs on the 16th supposedly without the squares according to the other threads on here. If they were trying to be slightly inline with the overall network setup they're a bit late

It looked very much like a CSO today on the 6pm bulletin.
probably the same one theyve recycled from last time they had makeover

Well it was a current look design.
lastn time they used a cso of the old red and blue background for 2 weeks
Not the case - they just took one of the lightboxes from the back of the set and put it in the small continuity studio. Smile

Not had a chance to see the new look yet, but I'll do a bit of retuning on the Digibox this evening...

No...we are hoping that there will be one later in the year. The Grampian TV Annual Review hinted at one, so it will be a case of 'when they can afford it'. All the job cuts etc will make things financially tight; hence my outrage at Scotland Today having a revamp just months before closing their Cowcaddens studios.

Exactley...I thought revamps were supposed to change things but the only real revamp is the bright orange desk!!!I do like the new titles and the layout makes more sense. This does mean though the PN set in Aberdeen will need a revamp in the layout as the Glasgow one has unless they start producing all shows from tullos.

Is it just me, or is the ST desk slightly less orange???
It doesn't look as bright. Confused:

I noticed that today it seems to be red now

I really like the 'new-look' ST now!
I especially love the titles and music, and also the new graphics.

Maybe the orange/red desk was to match their new astons (where the live DOG is).

The future is bright - The future is Scotland Today's ORANGE desk!

How about that for a promotional slogan? I'd prefer...

The future is dim - The future is a CHEAP show in colour, if they keep enough staff on for it to go on air - that is!
