So much for the promise of a revamp in the Grampian TV annual review!! In saying that they may wait until their sister station moves home later this year!

Yes when the budget is not so tight. Wow how dissapointing is the ST "revamp"

I quite like the new look to be honest. The desk is a bit too orange, but apart from that that was all that was needed. I think a sidebar would be better on the single presenter shot, rather than an aston a la BBC News.

I just wish they painted the walls a bit but they layout and the end roof-cam shot are brilliant...the desk needs toned down..alot.

My verdict; "Far too much pomp - not enough class!! "

Sadly, I am not that keen on the new Scotland Today. Why is there not a red desk or blue desk - orange seems so random; having no relevance to the other colours used. However, orange seems to be the colour for ITV 1's new logo. But the colour scheme is minor compared to major downfalls at Grampian, Scottish and BBC Scotland nowadays.

Granted, they are downsizing in staff and resources. I can only hope they decide to save as many pennies as they can from this, and bring our news programmes back to the glory days. Scottish people deserve a proper news programme. They've not got that in all those on offer. North Tonight, Scotland Today and Reporting Scotland used to be based on hardhitting and heavyweight reportage. All the above have failed to deliver with their last revamps. They may as well drop the news completely and just have "Watch to Win".

Lets just hope and pray things improve dramatically later this year. All the build up for Reporting Scotland in 2003 left the same sour taste of dissappointment in my mouth.

If I lived in Borderland I'd get down on my knees as pray they NEVER join up with SMG stations.

Surely you should all not be allowed to talk about the revamp until there are some caps.

Perhaps, we feel that such a "revamp" (lol) does not merit a waste of caps etc!

You are not missing anything - trust me!!

Another interesting point; why say that your sacking staff and downsizing, and waste money on a revamp just months before totally relocating to the other side of the Clyde?

It is all these plonkers in charge - that should be getting their marching orders not the poor folk working tooth and nail to bring us something on a shoestring. Their prize - a P45. Such is life!!!

If any presenter should get sacked, it should be Shereen Nanjiani. She still stutters and gets her words wrong.

Exactly...when the itv news channel was still on back in the day and uktoday was on they would cut to shereen in glasgow and shed look totally unprepared and started a## crawlin rather than doing her job which was to preview what was coming up at 6pm on stv...
