I suppose they could just take it with them. But why bother? I know its been 3 years since the last new look, but surely they could save themselves a bit of trouble and wait a few more months.

Although I am still interested to see what STV will come up with...

it must be something big if theyve moved for two weeks

Have you seen the new studio. Not much different only and ORANGE desk!
And new titles and music which are OK!

Are they ITV corporate style?

Not ITV corporate style... but a few nods in its direction.

The new look Scotland Today is really just a new sting and a desk. A pleasant refresh, certainly, but nothing too radical. The astons are unchanged and I suspect the other graphics won't have changed much either.

Mind you, given the scale of the impending sackings at STV (three presenters and seven reporters) I'd be surprised if anyone in the newsroom there is in the mood for celebrating.

it would be very strange if there wasn't as on the grampian website last year it stated there would be a large revamp by the end of 2005.....

I actually like the graphics now. I never noticed them before. They are clean and modern.
I also love the titiles and music now.
Still don't like the front of the desk. Too orange-looking.
I also think it's time the weather got some nice graphics to match ST!

What do you think?

I have to agree, and more acccurate ones that actually give a half decent forecast!!! I do not like the positioning of the desk tho I just wish they would have painted the background a bit at least and changed the lighting......Notice the beeb style dell laptop too...

The look is very slightly reminiscent of the Central News East set before they changed to the ITV corporate look. They had the mini desk with plasma behind, etc. It's a good idea but not executed brilliantly, which kind of some Scottish tv up! I'm hoping this is an indication of what we're in line for though with the move in the summer. Hopefully we'll have a nice desk with big flashy coroporate graphics and a newsroom in the background with a view over the clyde.
