Sky and BBC at about the same time went to the Vatican (Sky dumping out of break), ITV NC followed about 20 seconds later.

Sky flashed first with the AFP & Reuters wires: "White smoke seems to indicate new Pope has been elected"

BBC & ITV waited for the bells
