I like to think of Mary as the senior, with Jo as the back up.
Who is Nick's official stand in? Giles or Dan?
Tia casual observer like myself, one would think Malin is the senior female presenter, as every time a flick past Midlands Today she is presenting.

But he hasn't done the 630 for ages. I've seen him lately on the Saturday bullys(promoting the BBC H & W Sunday Brekky he does), or the occasional TV Brekky bully.
(Must admit I don't watch Breakfast much now, as I got fed up of Susanna Reid flirting at the camera & Mother moaning about it as well, so I swapped to Daybreak, to watch little Laura instead!)
Anyone got used to Shefali's new hairstyle yet?
Must admit I'm a fan of Rebecca 'Sophie Ellis Bextor' Wood meself!

A couple of BBC local radio stories.
Make of them what you will.
(Obviously the one I'm disgusted with!)

Too bloody right!
Kay Alexander has been given an OBE in the Queen's birthday honours list for services to broadcasting and charity in the West Midlands.
Plenty of mentions of it throughout Saturday's Midlands Today bulletins.
Thoroughly well deserved!

I've been on holiday this week and so caught a few editions of ITV News Central, now apologies for being controversial but how awful is the presentation?
I know he's a local hero but Bob Warman really should consider retirement mumbling and stumbing through the links and looking totally dis-interested.
Sameena Ali-Khan is just awful too - hardly a sentence goes by without her stumbling over words, looking at the wrong camera, constantly looking at co-presenter for support. Come back Llewella Bailey.
Matt Teale - Constantly grinning and trying to be funny - just cringeworthy.
Reporting wise there were some good reports especially the Daniel Pelka coverage. On Friday night the programme followed the West Mids Ambulance Service and featured a chap who had lost his thumb through a gardening accident. The film showed the gentleman in distress after the incident. At the end of the report Sameena thanked the man and his family for letting Central film him during the follow up care in the ambulance and wished him well for the future. This was followed by Matt Teale smiling and gurning - saying he couldn't watch the report and made some joke about him being 'sqeamish' - totally inappropriate.
The weekend bulletins are no better with any Tom, Dick or Harry presenting woolly stories with pretty much zero news content.
I hadn't seen much of Central News for a while hence the reason I was so shocked by its current standards. Is the BBC any better?
Question is who would replace Bob Warman fulltime? Please not Matt Teale.

I know it can't be helped with the stories covered last night, but Midlands Today was really depressing last night.
Hate to think what the presenters thought with the constant stories of doom & gloom.
(Didn't Nick make a veiled comment last night at the end, or did I imagine it?)
The kid being murdered has really struck a chord with the public!
