Crashed into Central West this evening, no ident and no titles, just straight from a promo crashing into a shot of Bob & Sameena. Seems to had taken them by surprise but they carried on.

Also tonight a report from America filed by Tyne Tees presenter Ian Payne. Focussed on Midlands participants in the Special Olympics but guessing he must have filed a few reports for a few regions.

Ian Payne covered the Special Olympics previously so no surprise to see him crop up.

This happened on one of the weekend bulletins too. It seemed very strange and shocking to the presenter. Odd that it didn't affect play out if reports, etc.

The distorted backdrop of Centenary Square was gone last night, replaced with a flat CGI gallery shot.

Midlands Today reporter Emma North turned up on BBC London the other night - has she left BBC Birmingham?

She's been covering BBC London reporting shifts for at least two years!
