Shambolic start on Central West just now. Accidentally broadcast the headlines with Bob cocking up and then cut straight into the first story.

The Lobby has reverted back to its previous name - Central Lobby!

Indeed. That's because as far as I'm aware all the ex-Central South areas have reverted to Meridian's offering.

Didn't the Ridge Hill transmitter get switched to itv west when Central South ceased to exist?

Ridge Hill got switched to Central West with a relay of HTV West for people south of the transmitter in Gloucestershire.

Either way ex-Central South viewers (e.g. ex-Thames Valley Tonight viewers) continued to receive Central's political programme and non-news programmes, hence the name change to The Lobby in the first place. I believe these viewers only transferred to Meridian not so very long ago.

Work on demolishing the rest of the old Central studios in Birmingham has finally started.
