SET's titles failed to play again. They need to sort their playout system out or something.

Haha, Bev just said "good afternoon" on the 10.30pm South East Today bulletin. Perhaps nobody updated the autocue unless a salutation is included on that I don't know.

Never thought I'd hear Hythe and Folkestone mentioned on a thread here!

What was the event and where? I went to school in that part of the world, and lived in Hythe for 6 years, and Folkestone/Cheriton for 6...

That was in the South East at Six / London Plus / Day by Day / Coast to Coast era though - not Newsroom South East / South East Today / Meridian News era...

They were raising a flag in tribute to the servicemen in the RAF at the town hall in HYTHE High Street.

I grew up in the Rob Curling/Guy Michelmore(BBC) and Mike Debens/Liz Wickham(TVS) era.

So, which school did you go to? Brockhill?

Hythe CE Primary, and the infants school opposite, on The Green, as infant and junior. Went to the Harvey in Cheriton, as my secondary school.

Ah right, I know it well, small world. A lot's changed since then, both schools (Infants and juniors) have amalgamated etc.
