Is the NC used as a sustaining feed underneath the regional opts?

Yes it is, except during Breakfast where BBC One London is used.

Interesting thing to note:

The channel name for Meridian here in the South East has changed from 'ITV Meridian South East' to 'ITV Kent and East Sussex'

Will YouView change the South version to 'ITV Hampshire, West Sussex, Dorset and a Bit of Wiltshire'? πŸ˜€πŸ™„
Alfie Mulcahy, HTV Best and Ballyboy gave kudos

That's the name of the SIPSI group of transmitters, you see it on some receivers while they perform a tuning scan. It shouldn't get baked in to the channel ID?

The Rowridge/Midhurst group is 'South' and Hannington is 'Berks and North Hants'

I think some TVs may give that information as secondary in the programme/channel info page where stuff like video codec, resolution and format, and audio codec, HbbTV vs MHEG5 etc. are listed alongside the channel name, LCN and EPG data.

Yes. I think I've seen it appear when pressing the 'i' button on some Vestal PVRs, (Digihome and Bush brands)

Very interesting. I suspect it's a cock up, I'll keep an eye on things this side of Meridianland

Edit 15:00hrs 31/12: Just performed a rescan, and ITV (SD) from Hannington is still labelled 'ITV' with no suffix

It's 12 years since the big 2009 revamp to the Meridian set up that brought Fred and Sangeeta together to present for all 3 sub regions. They are celebrating their time together.

They have proven to be a really good partnership but it’s a shame we lost 3 other good duos when they were brought together in 2009. Fred & Debbie, Sangeeta & Ian and Wesley & Hannah.
