Quite spacious and there does appear to be less yellow lighting effects than the other generic sets.
so this means that Border,CN South,Anglia and Wales News await the new look, maybee in time for the revamp?

They said that the studio was only 11m x 7m (quite small really). I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that this set is slightly less generic than the others.

It looks identical to all the rest!

did westcountry live always used to end with that music at the end, before going into itv news at 6.30?

Great idea to have the Tamar bridges as the backdrop - totally neutral between Cornwall and Devon. looks very good too, wonder how much it was influenced by BBC Hull's backdrop?

Well now how long has it been since that website actually existed -- defiance is to be approved of mind you.

I noticed also they showed the weather for the east region in the south local bit -- not that it surely varies much let's be fair.

However this type of set will not be required for HTV, thank you all the same.

I was wondering if their are still studio facilities at Derry's Cross, because if so, it may come from there..... or could it be Seymour Road?

I know a few years ago their were studio facilities at Derry's Cross for a while. But if this is still the case, would they bother trapesing to the other side of Plymouth to set up the broadcast?

Derrys Cross is now a solicitors, there's absolutely no way they'd keep a fully equipped TV studio there.

According to the clip from today they were in Exeter

Am I missing something? In the clip you provide (thanks) there seems to be a jump-cut right before they talk about the projector screen. One of the images shown above didn't appear in the clip either.

Editing problem?

Not at my end... I've just checked my direct recording and it is the same, obviously they had to cut it right down...

As to the images missing it appears I cut a little bit out... if you are really bothered about it then I suppose I'll re-upload the clip.

That would be nice, as the missing bit is where they show the studio from the presenters' viewpoint, and also show "camera 5" above the CSO area which is the one that gives the impression the studio is larger than it is.

PS: How can I link my Sky+ box to my PC so I can capture images like these? Smile

I think it is a superb new look, so much better than the old one. Very Happy

Yes they do! HTV are in desperate need of a new studio. And I would love to see them get that type of studio!
