If we have a Generic 2 i hope the regions can change it like on BBC1.

Well Boredom would ahve something to boast about there. The only station that has the whole of their news region on their plasma

I wonder what they'll go for as they're adopting the generic set, some blue quares or a view of Plymouth?
Good to see more Regions getting the Generic set, only ITV Wales, Central South, Anglia and Border are left to go.

Don't Anglia use a special version of the titles which highlights the entire region, not just the subregions?

Well, it isn't a new set yet, but it is only part of the old one.
The CSO bit has gone, the screen is gone, just the backdrop, sofa and table remain at the moment. The lighting is definitely different, so it is safe to assume that they are not in the main studio but in a temporary location. The plot definitely thickens.

Yes, the lighting looks very odd, and some dodgy camera allignment at times!
As far as I know (which isn't a lot!), Westcountry only has two studios, one main studio and the bulletin one. They could have set-up camp in a corner of the main studio, but I wouldn't think it was big enough - it's not the hugest of studios.
I was wondering if their are still studio facilities at Derry's Cross, because if so, it may come from there..... or could it be Seymour Road?
I know a few years ago their were studio facilities at Derry's Cross for a while. But if this is still the case, would they bother trapesing to the other side of Plymouth to set up the broadcast?

It's not likely they would have decamped the studio to Derry's Cross, as the building in Langage has plenty of spare space upstairs where they could move the set to, or even into the newsroom itself, as they have camera points in there and do occassionally talk to correspondents in the news room. but the newsroom is set up for broadcast, so this feels like they've decamped the set upstairs with a temporary ligthing set up.
If the new set is the generic ITV regional set, that will probably need the whole studio. Previous sets haven't used the whole studio, despite the fact that it is not very big. Westcountry Lunchtime Live introduced a "soft" area that was also used on Westcountry Live for a while and that was on the other side from the anchor desk. They simply turned the cameras around to point the other way. Also, Westcountry Sunday Edition had a different set and look to Westcountry Live and they both shared the main studio.
