New look ITN

Tsk, I'm surprised no one's been on thier back about safe areas, I mean look what happens if you watch digital on a 4:3 TV:

I presume it's because it would have been a 4:3 endcap, cropped to 14:9, but you'd have thought they'd have considered it.

I don't like the animation on the endcaps, or the "right content, right now" bit, though the logo itself is a nice evolution I think.

No, it's just "bleeding off the edge". It's the trendy new thing don't you know.

If only that were the case, and though it's true of thier website, you can still make out the "ITN" whereas in the pink one above you can only really make out "TN".

ITN are really stupid, I mean it's stupid enough broadcasting in 4:3 as 14:9, I think internally they still think they are broadcasting in 4:3, but in reality it's going out in 14:9

I can't believe you haven't been offered a six-figure salary by ITN to go and put all these things right!

He's still employed by the BBC to point out which is "NEWS" and which is "WORLD"

I am still waiting for that offer!

The red version was aired after tonight's late news. This one just looks ridiculous, half of it is chopped off at the bottom!

I think that may be because UTV have cropped it.

Is it just me or is this design the worst on TV at the moment?

They're dire.
