I like the look and I am glad to see they retained the old regional theme rather then Londonise, but I stick by my earlier point about the trendy door handle cum desk. The flash between headlines and into the titles is a bit over the top though.

Still don't get the desk...and Dom doesn't look too comfortable on that stool...thinking back I think they tested the stool thing a few weeks back Lisa & Dom looked really akward in front of the 'window' then...it seems things haven't improved. I would of liked new titles (if only to get rid of my workplace being in them...)

Well, I like the new set. Although it does look flimsy on the VT showing the set change. Only two reservations, the desk looks quite strange, a News 24-style one would look better. Also I didn't like the image used on the lunchtime and evening programmes, the blurred newsroom. The one used on the 15.20 prog (And on the EMT web site) was much better, being sharper.
Also, I wonder if Kathy will present the late news tonight or will they combine the new set with a new presenter rota instead of Kathy, Mon; Jo, Tue-Thur; & Lisa, Fri.

The desk looks half-finished to me - I'd have had the curved red 'support' for the desktop surround the WHOLE desk, rather than just one part of it. And the stools they sit on - anyone waiting for the first presenter to lean back on them (thinking they're still in a comfy soft chair) only to fall to the floor?
Given the studio relaunch, was anyone expecting there to be a new opening titles sequence (using the 'high-intensity' music) as well as the studio? Thought that very odd, and a little disappointing...

Just at the 10 now, they seem to have on the big long screen, have a video of loads of screens!! Looks a bit wierd cos the backing is black and the rest of the studio is so bright!!!

Just watching the 6.30 in full...by heck, check out the old bloke who thinks he's got 'about 30' kids...they said he's had 'numerous' girlfriends...PMSL LOL LOL LOL!!! - oh suddenly life is fantanstic! - also had to laugh at Dom at the end 'we really hope you like it [the new set], 'cos we've lost the receipt and it can't go back!' - I think the jury's out on that one Dom!

Jay, I actually wondered that (surely the 'newsroom' isn't that big) - surely the Broadmarsh would be far to common - if it's Nottigham it'd have to be the Victoria

Does anyone from Nottingham also think that the shopping centre type background used at 6.30 looks strangely like the Broadmarsh Centre??
