New look for The Early Show on CBS

America's perennially third-placed breakfast show got a major revamp this morning. New set, graphics, music - the works.

The studio on 5th Avenue has had a complete makeover. It's much fresher and modern than before (previously it was very brown and dated) - and they've opened it up so there are many more windows looking out onto the street.

There's a video tour of the new studio here - and if you click on some of the other videos, you can get an idea of how it looks on air.

I have to say it looks pretty impressive - but whether it'll have any effect on the show's low ratings is another matter.

I watched the video, the new set looks really nice. I captured this audio from the beginning of the video, does anyone know if that is the new remixed Early Show theme, or wether its just for that online video.

Have they gone HD with this relaunch.

ISTR that NBC's Today and ABC's GMA are now HD, but that CBS's breakfast show wasn't?
