Karen Rankine, Director of Programmes at Channel Television, commented: "Channel Television is of course still independently owned but we are of course very much still part of the ITV family as a whole and part of the network. It's good that Channel have that attitude. Still independant but are aware that following the ITV look looks best for the viewers. Unlike the likes of UTV who go out of their way to make their channel as mismatched as possible
