Well News at Noon on just now - a new desk like Samira's blue one, but purple has replaced the main desk, and is situated more centrally - not at the edge.

I personally think that they should have included the new '4' logo within the opening titles, and not right at the very start.

I have always liked Channel 4 News and this refresh was much needed!
At last they have got rid of that widescreen telly which always contained a squashed picture and have now replaced it with a huge video wall thingy! At last a 4 x 3 picture being shown as 4 x 3!
Not too sure on the font they are using as it is a bit E4 and my only other gripe is that I keep thinking it's Christmas still. Everytime i see that purple '4' logo with white 3-d edges - i keep thinking its a normal channel '4' logo with snow on it!

Anyone catch the promo for C4 News around 5pm yesterday - always quite different.
This time Jon was in the studio in front of the screen, which also featured Jon from a different angle. The main camera zoomed out at the end to take a capture of Jon from the monitor on one of the cameras (and thinking about it, I'm sure it was a widescreen image!).

I've seen one like that before. It had the camera on Jon in front of the screen, and a camera in view behind him, and the feed from that second camera was shown on the screen, so you could see the words scrolling on the autocue in front of Jon.
The best ( and funniest ) C4 trailer was Jon in the newsroom, and when he said ' See you at 7 ', he walked off and bumped into someone who walked right in front of the camera. So obviously the trailers must have been live, not sure if they are any more though.
